      Abstract
The Archive of the School of Ulm (hfg-Archiv Ulm) began operating in 1987 by a group of alumni that, after the closure of the School (hfg - Hochschule für Gestaltung Ulm), saw the necessity to preserve the material concerning the projects produced during its operation between 1953 and 1968. It was founded as a public institution, sponsored by the Municipality of Ulm. Between 1999 and 2001 a project that would bring visibility and dissemination to the Archive was developed by creating a website. Its function was to bring towards a massive audience what was the hfg-Ulm, its influences, its legacy, and what happened today in connection with the history of the school and its protagonists.
