Pause Prompt Praise applied to Japanese learners of English

Abstract
This is a report of an action research project currently under way at a university in Japan. The aim of this project is to develop the reading skills of junior high school students through tutorial sessions led by trained university students using principles and procedures of a reading programme, Pause Prompt Praise, developed in New Zealand.
