Ever worried that when students do attempt the readings that they fail to remember or even understand the important points? If we are to implement a flipped approach to our teaching, then we need our students to be able to read complex texts independently. I will discuss a strategy that I use in my philosophy classes to train students into becoming independent readers, and encourage them to complete all of the reading set for the class.application/pdfenConference Contribution
