I became involved with the following studies as a result of what could best be described as a low-key assessment of a 1080 drop on the West Coast with the West Coast Regional Council. Following this low key assessment, I approached the Animal Health Board to conduct some more robust studies to answer the very important question, ‘What effect does 1080 have on aquatic ecosystems?’ I eventually did five studies while at NIWA, which were all funded by the Animal Health Board, and it is these studies that I will now discuss.application/pdf© 2017 LakesWater Quality Society.Conference Contribution
