Abstract
The connection between the Slasher and Giallo film genres can be seen both cinematically and musically. Film structure, basic plot points, instrumentation, and composition style all play a role in how the films compare as well as the social situations of the times within each genre. Through my own composition I will show how these two genres can be compared.
